In 1931, Mr. Joseph Zimmermann provides electricity and street lighting to the people of Santo Domingo, under an agreement Restoration with the Commune. The Plant began operating with a motor Gasoleros about 25 HP 440V dynamo. In 1953 he purchased a computer with greater capacity as demand required it. In this way, 220V electricity provided until 1969, when he was replaced by the service that we currently possess of Provincial Power Company. (Data provided by Mr. Luis Dayer)
